Canford won quite impressively in early June and qualified Keryn Corr as our Owner of the Month. Keryn had this to say about Canford: Canford (Canford Cliffs x Sorenstam) won his maiden on the 2nd of June in stylish fashion coming from near last to work through the field and burst out late winning by nearly 2 lengths. A brilliant ride by Jamie Kah which had the race caller in disbelief and the owners ecstatic.. The 3 year old has always shown ability and his trainer Ryan Balfour has allowed him to mature over several preparations with a focus on getting him out over a middle distance, this succeeded at his 7th start with a win at Morphettville Parks over 1550m. The Ryan Balfour racing team have a great understanding of how to manage Canford sending him for short breaks up to Satchell’s Willow Grove Stud at Woodside after every race and recently acquiring a stable pony to provide him with a relaxed stable environment and travelling companion. These tactics are working well and we hope Canford will continue to master and enjoy his racing career.
