SAROA Owners of the Month for July – Jan and Ron Dean with Affaire Vue.

The Magic Millions/Atkins Photography SA Owner of the Month award winners for July are Jan and Ron Dean part owners of Affaire Vue. They were nominated by Michelle Ovenstone who told us this:

I would like to nominate Jan & Ron Dean for the July Owner of the Month for Affaire Vue.  Affaire Vue broke her maiden at Mildura on Friday 18 July 2025.

It has been a patient journey for Affaire Vue’s owners.  For over two years we’ve known she has talent but it’s taken a while for the penny to drop.  Jan & Ron always attend the MacMillan Racing stable days and are at the track to watch Affaire Vue’s jumpouts, trials and races no matter where they are held – they even travelled to Mildura for her win!

Jan and Ron told us:

When Ron and I first saw Affaire Vue being paraded at the MacMillan stable we both immediately liked her.

Affaire Vue is bred to run longer distances and being sired by DUNDEEL we look forward to her up and coming races to see if this comes to fruition.

Ron and I have been with the John MacMillan stable for over 10 years and have had lots of exciting times with our just retired Aiguilette.  We always aim to see our horses race wherever they go.

As the Dean’s mention Affaire Vue is by Dundeel from the All American mare Farsight. To date she has won 1 race from 8 starts with 3 seconds and prizemoney just more than $40,000.

Her dam, Farsight was lightly raced and she has also left three-time winner Par Five (by Pariah) and Affaire Vue’s full brother the lightly raced Dunali who is also trained by John MacMillan.

The grand dam Ain’t Seen Nothin’ (by Nothin’ Leica Dane) won three Listed Races in Sydney and her record stands at 29 starts, 8 wins, 2 seconds and 5 thirds and winnings totalling over $614,000. In addition, she left two stakes winners in Bachman (by All American) who is a full brother to Affaire Vue’s dam Farsight , he was able to win up to Group 3 level from his 4 wins and amassed over $440,000.

The other stakes winner from Ain’t Seen Nothin’ was the twice listed winner Ain’Tnofallenstar (by Starcraft) who won 4 races and over $170,000 and is also the dam of a multiple stakes winner in Ain’Tnodeeldun (also by Dundeel) winner of seven races and almost $700,000

In addition the granddam also left Star Pupil (by Starcraft) dam of two stakes winners including five time stakes winner three of which were at Group 1, that being the mighty Snitzel mare Lady Shenandoah who has won five of her seven starts and over $1.8 million.

As can be seen clearly Affaire Vue is regally bred and will hopefully progress to more success over staying trips. We wish the Deans the best of luck with her following on their successes with the eleven-time winner Aiguilette.
